Roman Reigns retained the WWE Undisputed Universal Championship vs. Sami Zayn in a match that featured numerous momentum swings and drama-filled moments surrounding the company’s hottest storyline.Montreal’s Zayn was supported by a raucous hometown crowd who hung on to every Helluva Kick, Bluethunder Bomb and Exploder Suplex Zayn mustered against WWE’s top star.The underdog threatened to pull off the upset to dethrone Reigns after 90 days on numerous occasions, but Jimmy Uso came to the rescue.Jimmy hit Zayn with three super kicks and an Uso Splash before he draped Reigns on Zayn. Sami kicked out, and then was able to survive The Spear.Roman had a chair in his hand after a second referee was taken out, and this time, it was the conflicted Jey Uso who arrived. In a repeat of the scenario Reigns presented to Zayn at the Royal Rumble last month, Reigns handed Jey the chair and asked him to strike Zayn. When Jey refused, Reigns began to push Jey’s face. Zayn then went for the spear, but hit Jey Uso by mistake.Reigns, meanwhile, was able to deliver another Spear to win the match and continue his 900-plus day title reign. Afterward, Kevin Owens came to Zayn’s rescue, and allowed Zayn to hit a Helluva Kick on Reigns to end the night.What’s Next: Reigns will head toward a WrestleMania main event matchup against Cody Rhodes, who earned the title shot when he won the men’s Royal Rumble last month. What’s unclear is where Zayn, Owens and The Usos will go. Now that Zayn mistakenly struck Jey Uso with the Spear, perhaps we’ll see Zayn team up with Owens to challenge The Usos for the tag-team titles at WrestleMania.
